U13′s WSYFL – Glenafton Athletic 0 Ayr Boswell 7
After a 6 week layoff due to the bad weather the U13′s played their first league game since the 5 December 2009. They travelled to a foggy Drongan to take on Glenafton Athletic and played very well given the conditions and heavy pitch.
The team had trained as normal during the poor weather at Pro Soccer and played in their annual 5 a-side tournament between Christmas & New Year. They also had a workout last Sunday with some 5-aside games against Ayr Juniors and Tass Thistle Rovers again at Pro Soccer, however the boys were looking forward to getting back normal duties and played well from the start against Glenafton Athletic.
5 goals from Kerr Houston pushed him through the 50 goal barrier for the season so far but Boswell were made to work hard in the first half and only went in 2-0 up at Half-Time. In the second half the football was better and a couple of early goals from Kerr extended the lead and another good finish from Dylan Croke and a great passing move that was finished by a Chris Devlin header made the final score 7-0 to Boswell.
Next up is a league game at home to Glenafton Thistle, Saturday 30 January at KG5 Ayr.
Ayr Boswell Scorers
Kerr Houston 5, Dylan Croke 1, Chris Devlin 1.
