Land O’Burns U13 Cup Final 2009

Tass Thistle 2 -1 Ayr Boswell BC (Croke)

On behalf of John, Hugh and myself I would like to thank all the parents and their families for the support you have shown the boys this weekend. The score in the final was disappointing but the way they conducted themselves and reached their first Cup Final in what was our first proper competitive tournament shows we have the prospects of a very successful season. Well done guys you should be proud of yourselves.

  1. An oustanding display by the team over the three days and desperately unlucky to be pipped in the dying minutes of the final. I’m sure the team will go on to have a very successful season on this type of form.

  2. The boys were magnificent, they played against a team in the final that very rarely gets beat, and played them off the park.
With a wee bit of luck we could have come home with the trophy.
Every one of the boys can hold their heads up high as their performances over the three days was second to none.
Steven, John and myself could not have been any prouder with their effort and commitment during the games.

    Well done lads.

We can look forward to a very good season if we keep progressing the way that we are going.
